offer a gait analysis service. There is no cost for this service.
We
use the latest DartFish technology with a Sony digital camcorder to
analyse your running gait here in store.
A gait analysis is used to
help individuals run more efficiently and to identify posture-related or
movement-related problems that may arise due to their running
technique.
This gait analysis is used to establish which gait pattern
a person may fall into. People can be broadly categorised as pronators ,
supinators or neutrally aligned runners. The significance of this is
that running shoes are specifically designed for each of these
categories.
In order to ensure you are fitted in the correct type of shoe it is
essential to know which gait pattern you have.
